Sports Services is recruiting for highly organised and customer focussed Receptionist to form part of the new service team that will all play a key role in transforming the Council’s approach to Sport, Leisure and Exercise. This is an exciting time to be joining Sport Services. After 3 years of delivering year on year improvements we now have in place ambitious plans to ‘step up the service’ to take us to the next level. Exciting plans for capital improvement have been approved and the Service is growing in confidence and ambition to continue the next phase of transformation and improvement.
As an Admin and Business Receptionist, you will be required to welcome, receive and signpost customers and service users as well as booking in, issuing documentation, tickets and visitor passes. You will be required to undertake administrative support such as responding to incoming communications (post, emails), manage complex customer enquiries and assist in the sale of memberships including processing Direct Debits.
With a high level of interpersonal skills working in a busy Active Leicester Centre, you will have experience of dealing with members of the public on a face to face basis. You will also have experience in providing information and advice to members with an ability to deal with distressed/vulnerable/abusive service users/public in a sensitive and efficient manner. With experience of using Microsoft Office software packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, you will also have experience of maintaining computerised records and using EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems.
