Your role

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic class instructor to join our leisure centre teams!


You will be expected to plan and deliver number of classes such as Zumba, aqua aerobic, Pilates any many more. It will be expected from you that classes will suit needs of individual and group.


In this role you will be required to also provide appropriate records of classes attendance and any additional information required by the service.

You will need

You will be required to have an appreciation for and previous experience in customer service  . Any experience in a similar role as an instructor will be desirable but not essential however you will be expected to know how sports and gym equipment are operated.


The nature of the role is to provide others with clear instructions and know motivational techniques therefore you will be required to have a great communication skill to be able to verbally explain techniques and new ideas as well as be tactful and diplomatic when dealing with difficult situations.


You must be able to recognise barriers to participation in activities and act accordingly.


You will be able to work across the city on various LCC sites.


You must have an appropriate award at level 2 for your area of activity e.g. NVQ or YMCA in a Health and Fitness or Fitness Instructor, etc . and exercise to music.


 


 

Additional information

This is a casual position and you will be required to work flexibly across 7 sites.


Salary:



  • Mon-Fri after 5.30pm: £23.92ph

  • Mon-Fri before 5.30pm: £19.18ph

  • Sat & Sun: £21.53ph
