Your role

We are looking to recruit Casual Sports Receptionists at Leicester City Council for Active Leicester. You will be required to provide cover, on occasions at short notice, which will include daytime, evening and weekend working, across several Active Leicester Leisure Centres.

What you will need

This role requires a high level of interpersonal skills working in a busy Active Leicester Centre providing a high level of customer service. You will need the ability to mange complex customer enquiries and assist in the sale of memberships including processing Direct Debits.

You will have experience in providing information and advice to members of the public face to face and over the telephone, with an ability to deal with distressed/vulnerable/abusive service users/public in a sensitive and efficient manner.

You will have experience of using Microsoft Office software packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, including experience of maintaining computerised records and using EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems.

Additional information

The hourly rate for this role is £7.32 per hour* (£9.00 with current living wage supplement).
*All vacancies are subject to evaluation and therefore the hourly rates may change.

Please note that Casual Receptionists work on an ad hoc basis to cover long term or short term absence, therefore flexible working would not be possible.
