Your role

You will act as technical support for De Montfort Hall and incoming professional shows, always ensuring maximum health and safety of people and equipment at all times.

You will assist in the provision of all technical requirements for performances and events. Including the rigging and setting of lighting, sound equipment, and staging elements, undertaking any technical work related to productions as directed by contracted staff. This will include a large number of non-show duties essential to the smooth running of De Montfort Hall.

You will assist in all aspects of Health & Safety relative to the use of all technical installations and meet Health & Safety standards, acting when required, as Fire Warden during performances and events ensuring the safety of performers, production crew, staff and all other members of visiting companies backstage.

What you will need

You will have an interest and experience of technical work in a theatre or live entertainment
environment, along with knowledge/ experience of working with stage lighting and/or sound in a live entertainment venue (including amateur).

You will need to be able to demonstrate a good level of numeracy & literacy at Level 2, or equivalent.

Additional information

Casual hours are offered on an ad-hoc basis. Hours will include working some unsociable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight and statutory bank holidays as required.

The hourly rate is £10.49 per hour.
