About the role

Working in the relaxed environment of Braunstone Leisure centre we are looking for a Catering Assistant to prepare and serve in our café. Joining a bright team that focuses on delivering great customer service. You will take responsibility to ensure that the café operates efficiently.

Having experience with food hygiene the leisure centre are looking to maintain their outstanding record. Performing to the highest possible standard on cleanliness, maintenance and food & drink presentation as well as following the latest health and safety guidance.

Meeting regularly with the team you will create a positive environment for everyone having an enthusiastic approach to you job and customer relations.

Your role

On a day to day basis you will support in the leisure centre café, completing a variety of roles within the café, including customer service, food & drink preparation, cleaning, storage and cash handling.

Working as part of a team, you will provide excellent customer service, promoting café products and dealing with enquiries for events such as birthday parties. Helping replenish stock deliveries that you will check against delivery notes and store as instructed in line with hygiene and safety regulations.

What you'll need

Ideally having a level 2 in food hygiene you will have experience in catering. Dealing with the customers you will be able to manager orders and prepare food creating a positive experience for everyone. Being able to manage cash you will use the IT and till system to give change, manage orders and cash up the daily takings. You will maintain records in line with Leicester City Council financial procedures.

You will need to be flexible working on a two week rota system that will include some morning, evening shifts as well as weekend and bank holidays to fit into the leisure centres peak times.
