Your role

This is an excellent opportunity for development for anyone with previous catering experience!

In this role you will be responsible for monitoring quality of the kitchen equipment as well as ensuring all catering units comply with the current legislation such as Food Safety and Health & Safety, whilst carrying out audits. Part of this role will be to react to emergency situations to minimize any service disruptions. This role will also require monitoring transactions via financial systems, budget monitoring and scheduling planned maintenance work.

You will need

You will be required to have previous catering experience preferably in a school kitchen and hold a food hygiene / health and safety qualification. As you will be processing financial transactions and monitoring budget you will need a previous experience of using and updating spreadsheets, using e-mails and other Ms Office applications. Excellent communications skills are essential to communicate management, statistical and progress information. An understanding of confidentiality and sensitive information as well as customer service is a must.

Additional information

Permanent, 32.5 hrs per week – term time plus 10 days worked during school holidays.

Working pattern- 8.00 am – 3.00 pm including 30 minute lunch break. Must be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the service.
