Join one of our Children's Social Care teams from Children in need to Single assessment team and you will play a key role in improving the life for families and children in Leicester.
With supportive and visible management team as well as manageable caseloads, you will be offered regular reflective supervision. We also offer agile and flexible working that supports a healthy work life balance.
We use Signs of Safety as a model of intervention to support sound Social Work practice. In terms of developing practice and learning, you will have the opportunity to participate in group supervision and mapping sessions on casework.

As a Social Worker, you will be required to undertake statutory Social Work in partnership with families, other agencies and colleagues across the council. Using a variety of social work skills and methods, you will be working with children and families to offer short-term interventions to resolve their circumstances with our support. You will responsible for efficient caseload management and work in accordance with the Division's child care policies and relevant child care legislation
As a Social Worker, you will have a qualification in one of the following: Degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Social Work, Post Graduate Diploma or Diploma in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England. With experience of front-line Social Worker practice, you will also have experience of working with vulnerable children with complex needs. You will have an ability to manage a caseload and make sound Social Worker decisions as well as have knowledge of relevant legislation and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practice setting.
