Your role

As a City Warden you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, attractive and safe street scene environment. By participating in publicity and education campaigns about street scene issues you will work towards reducing the incidents of street scene and enviro-crime offences. Part of your role will be also be to issue fixed penalty notices and preparing reports and evidence for legal proceedings. You will be required to work collaboratively with other officers involved in street scene enforcement presence in the street scene environment and to provide “on-street” advice to the public.

What you need

Conversing with public you will need to demonstrate that you have excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of what good customer standards are. Previous experience with a diverse range of people is essential. As a committed and enthusiastic city warden you will contribute towards local environmental protection and achieving high standards of compliance with street scene legislation in the city. In this role you will be required to write reports, courtfiles and letters therefore IT and numerical skills are a must. You will be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends and in adverse weather conditions.


Will also need to complete a security check for working at Mansfield House Police Station
