The role of a Civil Enforcement Officer is to patrol the streets of Leicester and to issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN’s), to any vehicle that is in contravention of a parking regulation, and optimise the performance of the road traffic network.
Patrol prescribed routes to identify illegal parking and issue Penalty Charge Notices.
Whilst patrolling, check that the pay and display machines are functioning correctly, and that signs and lines are maintained as to allow enforcement to take place.
Drive a van or ride a scooter, to provide a highly mobile responsive parking enforcement service.
During match day parking, patrol and check temporary restrictions that are in place, so enforcement can take place.
Assist with any vehicle that may need towing in line with the towing procedure.
Other miscellaneous tasks associated with the role.
Experience of working with the public.
Good Numeracy and Literacy to carry out all job tasks.
Experience of using information technology and possess basic IT skills.
NVQ in Customer Service.
An understanding of the legislation/regulations relating to the operation and enforcement of both on and off street parking enforcement.
You will need to provide cover where necessary from 6am until 1.45am the next day. We are looking to recruit to both day and night shift vacancies.
This is a career graded post and we are looking to recruit to:
Level B: £19,554 - £21,166 per annum
Level C: £18,795 - £19,171 per annum
