Your role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our building cleaning team, on a casual basis. You will be part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness within LCC buildings, education pavilions and other buildings. In your role you will be involved in number of activities related to maintaining cleanliness of common areas, removing and cleaning up of any unpleasant substances, making sure that cleaning equipment is in a good working order and ensuring basic security of the building and reporting any faults

You will need

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in public areas including safe use of chemicals. Knowledge of COSHH, HASWA and EMAS regulations would be preferred however not essential as we will provide relevant training. You must have sufficient literacy and numeracy skills in order to be able to perform job related tasks.

Great deal of heavy lifting is to be expected in this role therefore you must be prepared to undertake physically demanding tasks. Manual handling training can be offered if required.

You must be able to work on a 7 days rota and be able to work anywhere in the city

Additional information

You will be paid £9.00 per hour

Casual staff required to cover on ad-hoc basis must be available to start work from 6am onwards Monday to Friday.
