Job purpose

We are looking for someone to lead and deliver a high performing and effective business Growth Hub support service to meet the needs of Leicester and Leicestershire businesses, to help them grow. This will include the management and delivery of externally funded contracts such as ERDF and BEIS, working with multiple stakeholders.

You will

Communicate and champion the development of the Growth Hubs locally and nationally to increase reach and prominence.

Manage and develop networks of relevant contacts and stakeholders involved in business support. Building strong networks internally and externally, with local and national partners.

Establish and manage a robust framework for inspection and performance monitoring.

Write the Business Gateway (Growth Hub) delivery procedures and ensuring they are robust for audit purposes and comply with the relevant funding regulations including monitoring and reporting of expenditure and outputs.

Promote the LLEP's activities through various media, including the website and developing promotional and publicity material to assist the delivery of priorities.

Manage and monitor multiple contracts with delivery partners or procured services.

Requirements of the post

Relevant degree or equivalent experience in relevant field e.g. regeneration, economic development.

Knowledge and experience in project management, stakeholder management, performance management and external bid writing.

Experience of working in a fast paced multi-stakeholder environment with a focus on delivery.

Demonstrable success in the development and implementation of economic development / business support strategies.

A proven track record of managing people and resources.

Extensive experience of developing and maintaining partnerships at senior levels.

Experience of strategic planning, target setting, performance and evaluation.

Additional information

The salary for this post is £42,683 - £45,591 per annum.

This is a fixed term opportunity until March 2021.
