Would you like to become part of our growing Jump Leicester team? Are you a Gymnastics coach who can run fun and engaging sessions for all ages and ability levels?
Jump Leicester covers our Gymnastics and Trampolining programmes across multiple leisure centres within Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified coach to help grow and develop our recreational Gymnastics programme. Join us as a Gymnastics Coach and you’ll become a valued member of our highly qualified, passionate, and dynamic team.
This is a part-time permanent post, working 7 hours per week which includes evenings and weekends. There are set days each week, however this may change to best suit our programme and centre.
As a Head Gymnastics Coach, you’ll work closely with other coaches and our Sport and Physical Activity Programme Officer to plan and deliver recreational gymnastics sessions. You’ll oversee any lower level coaches or volunteers within your session to ensure best practice is maintained. You'll be responsible for the safe set up of equipment and will confidently carry out regular safety checks. As Jump Leicester is an official British Gymnastics Leisure Centre Partner, you’ll incorporate the new RISE Gymnastics programme and awards into your sessions and will be able to regularly assess members against set criteria. Being an important part of the Jump Leicester team, your feedback and advice will always be appreciated. During team meetings you’ll report on your sessions progress and assist with the ongoing review of the programme.
You must hold a UKCC Level 2 Women’s Artistic or General Gymnastics qualification. With previous coaching experience, you’ll have a good understanding of the sport and be able to adapt sessions to best suit each member. Using your knowledge and expertise of the sport, you’ll mentor and assist lower level coaches and volunteers within your sessions. You’ll demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills within a recreational sporting environment. Using excellent communication skills, you’ll deliver high levels of customer service and be able to appropriately deal with irate or distressed customers. You’ll be able to motivate and encourage members of all ages to ensure everyone feels confident within your sessions.
