Sports Services is recruiting for enthusiastic and customer focussed Leisure Centre Attendants to form part of the new service team that will all play a key role in transforming the Council’s approach to Sport, Leisure and Exercise. Working at one of our fantastic leisure centres across the City, you will assist with the day to day running of the facility.
This is an exciting time to be joining Sport Services. After 3 years of delivering year on year improvements we now have in place ambitious plans to ‘step up the service’ to take us to the next level. Exciting plans for capital improvement have been approved and the Service is growing in confidence and ambition to continue the next phase of transformation and improvement.
As a Leisure Centre Attendant, you will provide the highest standard of customer service whilst ensuring the health and safety of customers. This will include being responsible for pool supervision ensuring bathers are safe and follow rules and be required to act up to prevent accidents and vandalism. You will also responsible for remedial cleaning of the building and be required to set up and take down equipment for activities.
You will have a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and Health & Safety knowledge to be able to identify risks. You will be prepared to continue training on a monthly basis to keep your Lifeguard qualification live. With previous experience of working in a customer service environment, you will have good communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively with other staff and centre users.

2 x Full-time, Fixed Term contract until 31st August 2020 (Cossington Street Sports Centre)
3 x Full-time, Fixed Term post until 31st August 2020 (Leicester Leys Leisure Centre)
Working pattern- there will be a 2-week rota consisting of early, late and weekend shifts. The successful applicant may also need to work bank holidays.
