About the job

Are you looking for a varied job where you can be hands on and travel across Leicester? We are currently looking for a driver Labourer to operate our non – heavy goods vehicles supporting our Housing division.

This exciting role involves traveling across the city in our state of the art vehicles up to 7.5 Tonne to collect and deliver goods such as building materials, rubbish and unwanted goods. You will carry out daily vehicle maintenance checks including oil, water, tyre pressures, battery, vehicle body etc to maintain standards.

Being involved in house clearance you will use general labouring skills to load and unload while complying with health and safety regulations. You will maximize customer care dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds.

Your role

Working in all weathers across a variety of sites you will be directed to support housing services where required. You will carry out deliveries and collections of goods making sure that all types of waste are disposed of correctly at waste transfer including debris/refuse, building materials, white goods including fridges and freezers, fly-tipped waste, property contents while considering the environment and recycling.

What you'll need

It is essential that you hold a full driving licence for this role that includes C1+ and C driving licence. Working across various locations in the city, county and occasionally further afield. You will be exposed to all weathers working full time occasionally outside normal office / school hours, holiday periods, weekends, for meetings, conferences, open evenings, exhibitions, etc.
