We have an opportunity to join our small team of pest control technicians. You will respond to complaints and requests for pest control services. If you have a positive attitude and willing to work in a fast changing work environment this is a great chance to join our team.
Day to day you will carry out routine investigations relating to pest control and public health problems. Specifying work to resolve problems and initiate appropriate action in relation to pest control and public health matters. You will undertake the management of follow-up action on you own cases and those initiated by other staff within Environmental Health.
You will ensure you keep comprehensive and accurate records both manually and computerised. So being able to use smart devices such as computer and smart phone is vital to this role. Assisting in the allocation of work and distribution of emails and any other computer work related to the Pest Control. You will also provide training, advice and information to staff and members of the public on pest issues. Participating in pest control training and promotional programmes. Participating in training courses for the development of new and or refreshing existing skills.
Since you will administer poisons and insecticides you will need experience and knowledge in of relevant government legislation, health and safety, and coshh sheets with regard to your own Health and Safety. As well as, others affected by their activities including members of the public and non target species.
Ideally you will hold a qualification in pest control however joining the supportive team we are willing to provide training on the job. You must hold a full UK driving license.
