We are looking for a Recruitment Apprentice to join our in-house resourcing function. The resourcing function looks after all direct and agency hires for the council.
Following the implementation of a new recruitment system and careers website, you will support us on our continuous improvement journey ensuring that our candidate and managers experience is friendly, innovate and professional.
You will get hands on with all thing’s recruitment. From helping managers to define their roles and requirements, assisting with interviews and testing through to on-boarding new recruits.
You will also work closely with the team to source candidates from a wide range of appropriate sources including LinkedIn, job boards, database searching, and on-line advertising, as well as other sourcing channels.
As our ideal candidate, you will have a positive approach to your work and a can-do attitude. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where customer service is paramount. You will be creative and willing to share new ideas and ways of working.
You will be a confident self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team. You will have great IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
Most of all, you will have a passion for recruitment.
Salary: £18,795 - £19,171
12 months fixed term contract, with the option to extend to undertake the level 3 apprenticeship with a salary of £19,554 - £21,116.
You will be supported to gain a level 2 Recruitment Resourcer qualification and if successful in this role to a Recruitment Consultant level 3.
