Your role

We are looking for three Registration Officers to provide a high quality Registration Service with positive customer experience.

You will register births, deaths and still-births in accordance with statute, providing detailed advice to customers on all aspects of the Service.

You will conduct / register statutory & non-statutory ceremonies, whilst liaising with other professionals to achieve timely and accurate registration of births deaths and still-births.

You will also train team members on registering marriages and the responsibilities of the Ceremony Enquiries Section.

What you will need

You will have experience of working to detailed and prescribed regulations, including council policies sufficient to deliver service and of working under pressure to provide information and reports to strict deadlines.

You will have experience of using word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web and database applications for own and corporate use.

You will need to be able to climb steps and / or ladders to retrieve archives and will have excellent, legible handwriting.

Additional information

We have two full time, 37 hours per week available and one part time 14.5 hours per week, to be worked Thursday 8:30 – 17:00 & Friday 8:30 – 16:30 - the salary for the part time post will be pro-rata.
