About the job

The successful postholder will be responsible for the transition of new or significantly revised ICT services and platforms into live operation in accordance with best practice processes to ensure a successful implementation, in accordance with the ICT Gateway process.There are a number of major IT projects underway so this role will be both interesting and challenging from the start.

You will

Be responsible for directly managing the transition of non-complex IT Projects into live operation ensuring a successful implementation in accordance with the ICT Gateway process.Implement, maintain and champion Service Management and Service Transition policies, procedures and ensure that these are understood and adhered to by all Information Services staff.Provide Service Transition support to a wide range of IT projects, from isolated small scale projects localised to a small group of users, to organisation-wide corporate projects involving significant business change.Monitor the progress of all projects in the service transition phase and ensure timely reporting to all stakeholders, documenting Service Transition KPI metrics, service deliverables, risks and issues.Help project leads to define the appropriate end-to-end service model with clear responsibilities confirmed for incident management and escalations from both Business and ICT.

Requirements of the post

Experience of working in ITIL framework, particularly configuration managementEducated to degree level in an IT discipline or equivalent experience. Project management qualification or equivalent project management experience and ability. Good understanding of technology principles and knowledge of the wide range of documentation required to support the delivery of technology services, and experienced in its production.Certified ITIL process level knowledge or equivalent experience.In depth IT knowledge of ICT usage in a large complex organisation (software, hardware, infrastructure, networking), sufficient to command the respect of multi-disciplinary colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Additional information
