About the job

Are you looking for a fresh challenge within financial systems?


You will be playing a vital role within the finance team in maintaining Councils main financial systems.


You will also undertake the administrative tasks within the Councils main financial systems.  Including maintaining system documentation, processes and relevant procedures, along with the completion of routine tasks.

Your role

You can expect to support users in the effective use of the authority’s financial systems and processes, including the resolve of and problems or issues that arise. You will also be “hands on” in ensuring the security and integrity of said financial systems are maintained


Reporting to the Systems Accountant, you will also ensure financial processes are managed accordingly, user/system issues are reported and resolved in addition to ensuring system users are fully trained and supported through any queries they may have.

What you'll need

Ideally, you will be AAT qualified with a strong ambition to join a friendly finance team. You will have exposure to utilising financial systems and driven in your approach to resolving any issues.


You will also be accustomed to updating financial system information, will have a good understanding of reconciliations along with financial controls.

Additional information

We are seeking the successful post holder to work a 37-hour week. Working hours are typically daytime, Monday to Friday.
