Job purpose

In this role you will expedite, commission, implement and manage the effective project delivery of the Authority’s construction projects as well as lead and motivate to deliver programmes and projects.

You will


Direct, implement and manage appropriate procurement delivery solutions

Appraise, develop and implement robust and effective project/contract management/business management protocols and procedures.

Commission, negotiate and manage external specialist support whenever required for the delivery of projects

Advise and develop option appraisals and/or technical requirements, proposing pragmatic and practical solutions

Manage, support and motivate the project team

Undertake continued analysis of project risks

Requirements of the post

Exceptional organisational skills.

Ability to capture, analyse, devise & deliver project information to a range of audiences.

Ability to manage complex projects providing an all-inclusive overseeing, resourceful and rational leadership governance role to project delivery providing practicable and pragmatic direction.

Proficiency in the use of ICT including: email and internet; word, excel, database and presentation packages, property asset and project management database systems and project management software.

Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, organisation and management skills.
