Our City Hall office
City Hall was opened in 1938 as Leicester’s Municipal Offices. Designed with a number of Art Deco features, it was the heart of the council’s operations for almost 40 years. We returned to the building in 2014, renamed it City Hall, and it is now home to many of the teams that manage and deliver our key council services. It’s a beautiful office that sits in the very centre of the city.
City Hall has all you’d expect of a modern office including meeting rooms, break out areas and kitchen facilities on every floor. Being based in the city centre means you’ll find plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants close by. It also means getting here’s easy. We’re around a five-minute walk from Leicester train station and a couple of minutes' walk from the Haymarket Bus Station. If you’re a cyclist, there’s a secure bike storage area, as well as showers and changing facilities onsite.

All this combines to make Leicester an attractive proposition to work, live, visit, and study.
